Our little September & October update....

It has been a busy and eventful couple of months for the team and in our latest update, Gary talks about the events that shaped a memorable September and October for Possible.

 Our first full year in business

What a year! We’ve just been blown away by how much support we’ve had since the business launched in September 2020. So many memories and friends have been made along the way and it’s such a privilege to know we’ve helped so many people with their life plans during those 12 months. It has been a real team effort and we have some great people outside the business helping us in a lot of different ways. It has all contributed to getting us where we are already and will also be a big part of helping us get to where we want to go in the future. Our approach to estate agency is unique in a number of ways and it’s great to see that more and more people are seeing the benefits of that and reaping the rewards.

A National Award

It was a very proud moment when we were contacted by the people at The Estate Agency Masters to let us know that we had been placed in the Best Estate Agent Guide for this year. Not only that, we actually won their top ‘Gold – exceptional’ award and were invited to London to collect it – more on that in next month’s update. It’s a huge recognition for the team for all their hard work and effort. What made it more pleasing is that we didn’t apply for it or put ourselves forward as such, it automatically includes all estate agents in the UK who advertise on Rightmove. The awards are also judged on quality of marketing, branding, results and a mystery shopping exercise – essentially all the aspects of a company and estate agency. We’ve put so much thought and planning into the vision we have for the company and it’s great to feel it’s being noticed and making a difference.

43 sales agreed and 38 new listings

In September we agreed 17 sales in total and secured 26 in October which was superb. The figures show that we sold more properties than we listed which can be common for this time of year. As things march towards the winter and festive periods, some people decide on waiting until the new year before putting their property on the market. This can create a bigger shift between supply and demand. Less properties coming on the market often results in higher demand for the properties that do and also for properties that have perhaps been on the market for a while longer. Ultimately that can work in the favour of people thinking of selling at this time of year, there is a real opportunity to capitalise on that situation.

In terms of locations we agreed sales in Scone, Abernethy, Auchterarder, Luncarty, Bridge of Earn, Errol, Pitlochry, Blairgowrie, and the Tulloch, Letham, Craigie, Oakbank, North Muirton and Western Edge areas of Perth itself.

‘Possible meets…’ returns

This popular feature returned in October. We are a local business and are very passionate about supporting local in any way we can. Every week we feature a local business or business person and help to shine a light on what they do and their own line of work. Some of the interviews have been fantastic, really insightful and give such a candid take on business and life in the local area. We’ve now featured over 20 local businesses and will continue to promote more and more of them on a regular basis.

More donations for local primary schools

With us having now listed over 200 properties, we have generated almost £6000 worth of donations for local primary schools as part of our unique Possible Schools Initiative. We received messages from a number of the schools emphasising the difference it is making for the kids and the extra things it is allowing them to fund and purchase. We just love this part of the job and hearing about it. It’s a core value of the business and as we grow will only help the schools more and more, it will also be rolled out into any new area we expand into.
